The improvements to UET09 ESI – Transmission, Distribution and Rail

Sector Training Package incorporated in Version 2 comprise a set of

Refresher Training Units designed by industry to meet the need for

increased mobility of ESI workers and portability of skills. Specifically

the units and Skill Sets to address the requirements to gain and maintain

approval to work on or near electricity networks.

Refresher training is defined by industry as: 

A competency confirmation event which may include training, the

purpose of which is to compensate for or prevent deterioration in a

previously achieved standard of performance.
